Our 180 holiday cottages are available to rent for self catering Short Breaks (as little as 3 days, weekend break or midweek) or by the week, all year round. Dorset is ideal for a self catering cottage holiday. Close to London and the South-East and has more sunshine and less rain than Devon or Cornwall. Our holiday cottages are old, with gardens, most have open fires, many are thatched and over half allow pets.

Each Dorset Cottage is in a traditional village within 10 miles of the Jurassic Coast and World Heritage Coast Path. Your vacation or weekend break will be amidst rolling hills running down to the sea. The sea is always close and there are sandy beaches at Studland, Swanage, Weymouth and Lyme Regis, plus many shingle beaches; snorkelling and diving are available off ledges and rocky coves. The South-West Coast Path allows you to walk on unspoiled coastline from Poole to Lyme Regis; inland there are 3000 miles of footpaths, so you can walk in beautiful countryside from each holiday cottage.

Rooms Description

We carefully select and regularly inspect the cottages on our books to ensure high standards. Each cottage has a sitting room with TV/DVD and radio (many with VCR). Most have an open fire or log burner. Each kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and freezer (unless specific). The dining area is either in a farmhouse kitchen, living room or separate. Each cottage has comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms. The gardens are well-maintained with outdoor furniture.

Specialities

Dogs can also enjoy a wonderful Dorset Coastal Cottages holiday. No need to put your pet in expensive boarding kennels when at least half the cottages on our books accept them. One dog (2 in some) welcome, provided it is not left unattended or allowed in bedrooms. Each dog costs £17 per week; (part week £12).
