Cheese House Westwood Farm - Corfe Castle

Charming 4 Star self catering holiday cottage sleeping four people close to Swanage and Corfe Castle in Dorset. Lots of excellent local walks.

The Cheese House is a grade II listed detached cottage sleeping up to four people on Westwood Farm and has recently been awarded a 4 Star Visit Britain award, and also offers bed and breakfast accommodation. The farm is just a five minute drive from Corfe Castle and a seven minute drive from Swanage and its sandy beach. The surrounding land is owned by the National Trust and there is a network of footpaths close to the farm leading to Corfe Castle or over the downs towards the coast. The mainline station at nearby Wareham has regular services into London Waterloo. Harman's Cross railway station in approximately a ten minute walk away where you can take a nostalgic steam train ride into Swanage or Corfe Castle. Cycles can be hired nearby or arrangements can be made to have them delivered to the Cheese House for you.

On the ground floor of the property is a shower room, spacious kitchen/diner with lots of work space and a bright and airy double bedroom. Upstairs is the charming beamed lounge which has an open ceiling to the eaves and fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. On this floor there is a further bedroom which can be configured as a twin or king size double. Bed linen and plush towels are provided and the house is centrally heated in the winter months. A small welcome box is provided with essentials that will keep you going until you get to the shops. The farmhouse dates back to the 17th Century and features sloping floors and mullioned windows. B&B guest rooms are complete with comfy beds, bathrobes, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and radio alarm clocks.
