The three star rated Higher Kingscombe Lodge B&B is set on an organic farm in the beautiful Kingcombe Valley, an unspoilt part of West Dorset, close to the stunning Jurassic coastline. There are a great many interesting attractions to be found within easy reach of here including Dorchester, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. The lodge overlooks seven coarse and carp lakes which are well stocked with carp up to 30 lbs in weight, making this the ideal base for a fishing holiday.

The surrounding countryside is perfect for exploring on foot, by cycle and by car. "Off Cycling" run a small number of short break cycle tours from the Lodge and specialise in getting off the beaten track using a wide range of trails and green lanes in the countryside and along the coastline. Higher Kingcombe Lodge has a kitchen area where you can prepare your own meals for later in the day. We are wheelchair friendly and have fishing platforms with safe access for disabled persons.

Rooms Description

Higher Kingcombe Lodge has seven en-suite guest rooms with twin and double beds. Some of these are adapted for wheelchair users and have wetrooms and others can be interconnected to become family rooms. There is a large dining room with kitchen and laundry room for guests' use. Optional evening meals are also available by prior arrangement.

Specialities

We have eight lakes available for fishing - each amply stocked with mirror, common and ghost carp, as well as a native population of tench, chub and perch.
