A beautiful Grade II listed building that has been lovingly restored and refurbished over the years to retain many of its original charm and character. Built over 200 years ago, this cottage sits at the top of a short steep no-through track, offering peace and quiet. A mere 7 minute walk will take you to the town centre and the sea front. The cottage is very child friendly and provides a secure garden, so you are able to relax and enjoy your surroundings without worry. The cottage is an ideal base for those who wish to explore the Isle of Purbeck with its stunning Studland Bay and adjacent heathlands and islands. A warm and welcoming cottage, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Dorset countryside.

We are set in the lovely Swanage area of Dorset which lies between Weymouth and Bournemouth on the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. Swanage is a traditional unspolit town and has an award winning beach, a restored pier and access to cliff tops and other charming towns and villages in the area. For families there are many leisure activities to choose from including a leisure centre, pool, sauna and gym. There is a scuba diving school on the pier and a range of other water activities. Just a couple of miles north you will find many stunning beaches and small ferries which will take you to Poole, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. There are many fine landscapes and plenty for those who enjoy walking in peaceful and picturesque areas.

Rooms Description

This beautiful home from home cottage sleeps up to 6 people plus there is a cot available on request. The flag stoned porch leads in the hall with a comfy sitting room directly off it. The sitting room has a bay window and a fireplace with a wood burning stove. There are also comfy sofas and armchairs, TV, video, DVD, hi-fi and CD player. There is a large kitchen/dining room full of character and includes an old fireplace. It offers appliances and well stocked cupboards with everything you are likely to need. The large pine dining table overlooks the the garden. The modern bathroom is on the ground floor and includes a bath with shower. There is also a second sitting area where you will find some very comfortable wicker furniture. Up the stairs you will find three bedrooms, two double and a set of bunk beds in the other. All are tastefully decorated and offer warm, comfortable accommodation. The large garden is secure and walled with flower borders and a Lilac tree!

Our aim is to ensure that we provide quality accommodation and for our guests to have an enjoyable holiday with all reasonable facilities being available. For young children there are plenty of toys and books to keep them amused and for the older children there is a table football. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Non-smoking throughout.
