Manaton is a family run four star bed and breakfast with superb coastal views in Lyme Regis, within an area designated a World Heritage Site and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This historic resort is situated at the most westerly point of Dorset and is perhaps best known as the location for the film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'. The area is also well known for its geology and many important fossil finds and guided fossil walks are available from the town.

The town has a picturesque fishing harbour which is the starting point for a range of fishing and boat trips. There are a selection of guided tours around the town, explaining something of the town's past, including tours of the lifeboat station, a ghost tour, tour of the Cobb and a tour of the Jurassic coast. Lyme Regis makes the perfect base for touring the West Country with Poole, Swanage, Studland, Isle of Purbeck, Weymouth, Beer, West Bay, Axmouth, Axminster, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Exeter all being within easy reach. Manaton offers a wide range of rooms all of which are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV and central heating. All rooms are en-suite, with the exception of the family room which has it own private bathroom. A hair dryer and sewing repair kit are available in every bedroom. An iron and ironing board are also available if required. Concessions are available to guests at Lyme Regis Golf Club, just a five minute drive away.
