Cedar Cottage is the perfect retreat for a relaxing self catering holiday. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and justva 15 minute walk to the West Dorset coast at Seatown. Here you'll find The Anchor pub situated on the sea's edge serving good food and traditional ales. The village of Chideock is a 10 minute walk from the cottage across fields and has a church, two pubs, tea room and village store with post office. A walk around the village to discover the site of Chideock castle, the Roman Catholic church and a great village green with lovely children's playground are worthwhile. The charming market town of Bridport with a local farmers market is just 2 miles and Lyme reis is 7 miles away. A regular bus service serves Chideock with routes to Axminster, Bridport, West Bay, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester, Poole and Weymouth.

Rooms Description

Cedar Cottage is simply but carefully furnished and has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a lounge/dining area with open-plan kitchen. There is a DVD player, with a supply of DVDs, a video recorder and television with freeview, plus a radio/CD player. There is a selection of games and books for those wet days. The Kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge/ freezer, washing machine, dishwasher etc. Dishes, pans and cooking utensils are provided for those who may wish to cook the delicious local produce. The large bedroom at the back of the cottage has wonderful views and a king size bed. The second bedroom has two stacking beds, which can be used as singles or put together as a double, plus another single bed. Bathroom with shower over bath. There is a south facing patio area outside the living room, accessed through the French doors, with table and chairs, leading to a large lawned garden shared with other cottages. A portable barbecue is available.
