Gore Cottage is a Grade II listed Building of Special Architectural and Historic Interest, beautifully placed within a conservation area in West Milton. The cottage is nestled in a secluded garden on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is stone built with a thatched roof and porch. There is a kitchen / diner and a cosy sitting room with a multi-fuel stove, perfect for those cold winter evenings. There is also a separate WC in the thatched garden shed.

The cottage sleeps five, plus a cot: upstairs there is one double and one twin room, and a single room downstairs, the compact bathroom (with full sized bath and basin) and separate WC and washbasin are also downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with electrical appliances including a cooker, microwave, fridge and automatic washing machine. All light, heating and hot water is included in the rent, and we provide pillows, blankets and eiderdowns. Sheets, pillow cases and towels can all be hired, and there is a telephone for guests to use. We have a selection of books, maps and guide books in the cottage, so you can relax and unwind with a good book.

There is a garage at the end of the lane and parking for a second car on the concrete apron. There is then a walk of about 100 yards along the footpath, across the foot bridge over the stream, to get to the cottage. Our cottage is only 5 miles from the Jurassic Coast at West Bay, Bridport Harbour. Market days in Bridport are Wednesday and Saturday and are particularly popular in the summer for local West Country produce.
