Weymouth's fame as a seaside resort goes back over 200 years when the Royal Family used to spend their holidays here. A large number of attractions make this town ideal for a fun and interesting holiday. Brewer's Quay in the heart of the Old Harbour features the 'Timewalk' experience, a look back at the turbulent past and strong maritime connections. A hands on discovery centre and ten pin bowling are also available for all the family. The beach is fabulous, clean and safe and kids will love the Sea Life Centre should the weather turn. Seas fishing is available, either from the shore or charter a boat from the pretty harbour. Birdwatchers will be thrilled with the migration of swallows, martins and wading birds during the autumn at the RSPB reserve at Lodmoor. During winter, ducks, geese, and bitterns can be seen at the Radipole Lake in the town centre.
