Two four star self catering holiday cottages, each sleeping up to four people, situated in the old village of Puddletown, referred to in Hardy's novels as 'Weatherbury'. There is much to see and do in the area surrounding the cottages and a short stroll through Puddletown Forest brings you to Thomas Hardy's Cottage. In the next hamlet along visitors will find Athelhampton House and Gardens and a little further, the village of Tolpuddle, famous for its martyrs. The famous Jurassic Coast also lies within easy reach, where you will find Weymouth, Studland, Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis, Charmouth and the mysterious Isle of Portland.

Mead Cottage has a bright and attractive lounge/diner and a well equipped kitchen. The warm conservatory leads out onto the patio and south facing garden. The cottage has a downstairs cloakroom and WC whilst upstairs there is a double and two single bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Mabel's Cottage again has a lounge/diner and a conservatory opening out onto a small walled garden. The kitchen is separate and acts as a breakfast room for two and there is a downstairs WC and cloakroom. Again, upstairs there is one double bedroom, two single bedrooms and a shared bathroom.

Rooms Description

The two cottages sleep four people in each. They are well equipped with all that the self catering holidaymaker is likely to need including colour TV and radio, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, ironing facilities and hairdryer. Information leaflets are provided to help you make the most of your stay in this beautiful part of Dorset.

Specialities

One dog is accepted in Mead Cottage. No smoking in either accommodation.
