A charming Grade II listed holiday cottage, Mill Cottage is set on the River Piddle in Dorset's Thomas Hardy country. Ideally located within an English Country setting, its secluded river side position in the Purbeck rural conservation area is stunning and unique. After renovation work it is now an attractive and comfortable home with modern facilities and features. We offer a selection of five bedrooms (double or twin) with ensuite bathrooms for up to ten guests. We are ideal for adult and children over five years of age (we regret we cannot take toddlers because of the unfenced river) Our location and tasteful, modern decor adds to its charm. We are completely secluded and quiet, except for the noise of the rushing water when the river is in spate.

Briantspuddle is is the heart of Thomas Hardy country about 8 miles East of Dorchester. Poole, Corfe Castle, Swanage and Weymouth are all within easy driving distance of no more than 30 miles away. In this glorious area of Dorset, there really is something for everybody to do of all ages. Visit the many museums; Tank Museum, Dinosaur Museum and Dorset Country Museum, enjoy a trip to one of the finest 15th century houses in England, Athelhampton House and Gardens and for the children, visit Monkey World. There are also many restaurants, cafes and bars in the area for you to enjoy.
