Situated in the heart of the pretty Dorset village of Iwerne Minster, on the A350 between Blandford and Shaftesbury, The Talbot, Dorset Dining pub of the Year 2008, with entries in the Michelin and Alistair Sawday's guides has also recently been awarded a four star rating, with silver accolade, by VisitBritain/Quality in Tourism. There are a whole host of local towns to be found within easy reach including Gillingham, Sturminster Newton, Dorchester and Wimborne. The south coast resorts of Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth are also easily accessible for a day trip.

The pub serves a range of Dorset beers and a selection of wines available by the glass or bottle. Enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room, heated by a log fire in winter, or eat in the comfortable lounge bar. The outdoor terrace is also available for al fresco meals and is heated during cooler days. The menu is changed daily to make best use of fresh, locally sourced produce. We are proud to have been named the Dorset Dining Pub of the Year in 2008.
