Two charming Self Catering cottages set in the idyllic area of Sturminster Newton, in the heart of Blackmore Vale. The two cottages, Jasmine Cottage and Rose Cottage are both situated in the beautiful grounds of a Grade II listed thatched cottage dating back to the 15th century. Surrounded by an acre of meadow and gardens, the cottages overlook the River Stour and Newton Mill. Retaining much of their original character, the cottages offer warm and comfortable accommodation. Each cottage comprises of a kitchen/diner/lounge area, main bedroom with one king sized bed or two single beds, a second bedroom with one single bed and a bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. The cottages are well equipped to enable you to have a very relaxing stress free stay. With electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, TV, DVD player and radio/CD player, all linen and towels provided and a washing machine is available.

Ideally located for those who wish to explore the surrounding area and the natural stunning beauty of this area of Dorset, there is plenty for everyone to do of any age. From the world famous Jurassic coastline with stunning beaches, dinosaur geology and coastal walks, to castles and forts steeped in history to glorious countryside that can be enjoyed by all, it really is a perfect place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the natural beauty of the Dorset Countryside. For children and families there are plenty to keep the children entertained. Why not visit Abbotsbury Children's Farm, Longdown Activity Farm, Monkey World and Adventure Wonderland. There is also a Dinosaur Museum and Wimborne Model Town which are great places to take the kids. And not forgetting the glorious beaches in Weymouth, Swanage, Bournemouth and Poole. Accessibility: the cottages are single-storey, with level floors throughout. There are two steps to the front door, for which ramps are available. There is ample parking outside the cottages on a flat paved driveway. Well-behaved pets welcome. No smoking in the cottages.
